A recent edit added "It has been suggested that only a kernel level programmer from her earliest days would be able to fix it, requiring Mother to kidnap a programmer from the past." At the beginning of the first book, There will be Dragons, Talbot has a conversation with another character about the mysterious disappearance of the chief programmer of Mother. It was odd, at the stage of the plot, to mention that character but it explained some of Mother's functions. I always thought that the chief programmer was uploaded to make Mother. Of course, Mother could send someone back in time to be that chief programmer and, then when the back-door program is written, just retrieve the person. This section got added back to the main article. I do not see a reference of a possible book. Just saying. Geraldshields11 (talk) 15:14, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So, someone, who is not me added the possibility of the characters traveling back in time to recover a computer programmer. After several thousand years into the future, the little things of the programmer's life, such as address and cell phone, will be forgotten.

Ok, how are they going to find the programmer? The time travelers could look in a phone book for the programmers address, who is the neighbor of Sarah Connor, but good luck in that.

Or, they could telephone the people in the photo and ask where this non-famous programmer, who's work does later becomes famous, is located but good luck with that.

Or, you could go back in time to when the programmer was older and relatively-well known and then program Mother to remember the time mission and then tell the Council about the mission when it is needed. However, then New Destiny would also have the idea.

Or, you got to Wikipedia and find a photo of the programmer, before he or she was famous, and attended the same computer conference at the Library of Congress, Saving the Web. The photo would be time and date stamped so you just appear a month ahead of time to get invited. Geraldshields11 (talk) 15:29, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
