[edit]Hi Zanahary, thank you so much for expanding this draft. However, there are few things I noticed:
- The second sentence having 4 citations may be a bit overkill. Which are the best ones?
- Ref 6 is missing a parameter
- Why was
There are more than 10,000 species in the phylum, but only some such as Baclogypsina sphaerulata are star shaped
removed?

- Hi Clover! The first two I’ll fix, they’re not intended to be final. The phylum thing is only present in one source and it seems too elementary—it’s a long and pop-sciency way of saying that star sand is the skeleton formed by certain forams. It’s like saying in the article for Vanilla that there are 400,000 known species of land plants on earth, but only a handful produce vanilla. I also found in the scientific literature that Baclygospina sphaerulata does not receive special emphasis, while the family of Calcirinids does receive emphasis (and is sometimes listed with star sand as a common name). ꧁Zanahary꧂ 10:38, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
