Hello! First Timer!

[edit]

Hi everyone,

This is my first time creating a wikipedia page and I am trying my best. Please let me know any tips to make sure this article is non-biased as possible! My only worry is that we don't have enough links to support the article -- how can I improve? Any tips welcomed :) Marketingtd123 (talk) 13:56, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Marketingtd123 We are all volunteers here, whilst you are being paid, do not expect any help, you need to put the work in and Wikipedia is explicitly NOT about marketing in any shape or form. Theroadislong (talk) 14:18, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not being paid to make the wikipedia, I just clicked that BC I work with the company I'm making the page for -- this wasn't requested of me and it's actually not included in what my company pays me to do-- I just wanted to learn a new skill because it seems fun to learn how to do! And I want to learn the in's and outs of wikipedia so that I can get skilled enough to know my way around this site and spend time on it! Marketingtd123 (talk) 14:22, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I figured since every line was backed up with a reference and it was unbiased it would be approved, is there something else im missing? Marketingtd123 (talk) 14:25, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The company would need to pass the criteria at WP:NCORP and there is no evidence that they do. If you work for the company then Wikipedia deems you to be a paid editor. Theroadislong (talk) 14:26, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense! I figured it would pass the notability criteria, seeing that for Significant Coverage, BBCO has been featured in Columbus CEO and Columbus Business First, which are reputable sources that provide detailed coverage of the company’s projects and leadership. It also covered Independent Sources, because these publications are independent of BBCO, making it unbiased coverage.
And the hardest one, Industry Impact, but our CEO Bhakti Bania's recognition as a leader in architecture and BBCO’s involvement in significant urban redevelopment projects show industry relevance and influence. It's hard because we are a small woman owned minority owned business and don't make HUGE headlines. So there is no way we will ever be able to make a page?
