Vidur Kuti Temple is a locate Bijnor district Uttar Pradesh in india Vidur Kuti has mythological importance in the thousand year old Mahabharata period history. Mahatma Vidur also tried to convince Maharaj Dhritarashtra to avoid the Mahabharata war, but Dhritarashtra[1] ignored his advice due to his love for his son Duryodhan. Mahatma Vidur left everything in Hastinapur and came to the eastern end of Ganga and started living in a hut on the banks of Ganga. It is believed that during the Mahabharata period when Yogiraj Shri Krishna failed to convince the Kauravas, he came to Mahatma Vidur's hut located on the eastern end of Ganga[2][3]

Along with Mahatma Vidur, Yogiraj Shri Krishna was also not in favour of war between Kauravas and Pandavas. To avoid war, Shri Krishna negotiated with Duryodhan and tried to convince him to give only five villages to Pandavas, but Duryodhan was not ready to give land equal to the tip of[4] a needle without war. Angered by this, Shri Krishna left the dry fruits of Duryodhan and crossed the Ganga and reached Mahatma Vidurkuti and ate bathua greens with great love. Mahatma Vidur is mentioned in this incident in the mantra of offering food to God after worship - 'Add such a food to me, which becomes nectar, Vidur ate the dry fruits of Duryodhan[5]Bathua is available throughout the year

Bathua is available all year round at Vidurkuti, the place of penance of Mahatma Vidur. It is believed that Bathua is available in this area due to the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna. Currently, the stream of Ganga is flowing two to two and a half kilometers away from Vidurkuti[6]

Vidurkuti has developed

The government and administration have taken important steps for the beautification of Vidurkuti. Where on the [7]initiative of DM Umesh Mishra, dilapidated buildings have been repaired at the administrative level. At the same time, a massive plantation campaign was carried out on both sides of the road from the main road to Mahatma Vidurkuti and in the khadar of Ganga. Many ministers of the state and central government including the state governor Anandi Ben Patel also reached this holy land of Mahatma Vidur.
