Uncle Lucius is a country and Americana band from Austin, Texas.[1] Currently, the band consists of six members: Kevin Galloway (lead singer and guitar), Mike Carpenter (lead guitar), Doug Strahan (lead guitar), Jon "Jonny Keys" Grossman (keyboard and accordion), Josh Greco (drums), and Drew Scherger (bass).[2]

History[edit]

The band first formed in 2006 with original members Galloway, Vorpahl, and Carpenter. Greco and Grossman joined shortly thereafter.[3] In 2018, the band announced they were parting ways.[4]

Since splitting up, their single "Keep the Wolves Away" found a new audience. It was featured on Yellowstone[5] and eventually was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on January 21, 2021 and certified platinum on September 20, 2022.[6] As of August 2023, the song has been played over 134 million times on YouTube.[7]

The band reunited in 2023.[4] They will support Paul Cauthen on his fall 2023 tour.[8]
