Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter noted Alexander's "decidedly low-key approach to the narrative" and praised actor Johaljevich's "charismatic" performance.[3]
Writing for Cultured Vultures, Patrick King described the film as "a layered character study" with "smart direction and excellent performances," particularly highlighting how "the actors are so comfortable in their roles that they create real characters that we can study for a while."[6]
Cinema Crazed's Emilie Black praised the film's consistent look and pacing, attributing this to Alexander's multiple roles in the production, and noted the strong performances, particularly from actor Athan Bellos.[7]
