The Magician's Nephew is an upcoming American high fantasy film written and directed by Greta Gerwig, based on the The Chronicles of Narnia book series by C. S. Lewis.

In July 2023, following the release of Barbie (2023), it was announced that Greta Gerwig had signed a deal with Netflix to write and direct two films based on the The Chronicles of Narnia book series, with Mark Gordon, Douglas Gresham, Amy Pascal, and Vincent Sieber serving as producers.[1] In December 2024, Jason Isaacs revealed that Gerwig was adapting The Magician's Nephew for the first film.[2]

Release

The Magician's Nephew is expected to be released in the United States by Netflix in December 2026.[3]
