The Crack[1] is a British animated web series that is available on YouTube and created by Element Animation. It consists of three eggs with individual personalities going on different adventures, at some episodes, some voice actors from other shows came to voice the other characters.

Premise

[edit]

The Crack features three main talking egg characters; Jason, Chrisi and Dan. These eggs can go on adventures (such as running away from a police officer-like potato for a fugitive and defeating a durian while becoming a superhero), but occasionally they can hate each other (such as Chrisi using a fist and a spring to punch Jason away and Jason yelling at Dan that it’s none of his business).

The episodes mainly take place in a kitchen, but can sometimes show parts of the house (including the staircase room). Some settings can include oceans, outer space, tunnels and also a plain white room filled with cheese, as well as a room full of broccoli and a large maze.

They appear occasionally in some shows and episodes (such as Jason inside a new Minecraft -like web show called An Egg’s Guide to Minecraft.), as well as many Element Animation videos with Steve and a villager. One notable appearance is in the video called "Help us make Videos", which promotes Element Animation’s Patreon. In the end of the video, Jason yells at Dan again to shut up and roll the credits.

Characters

Main characters

  • Jason - an egg whose bloodshot eyes are bigger than another. As shown in the episode "Psycho!", he is shown having a fragile brain due to a variety of mindless entertainment, which caused him to get an unpredictable behavior and is energized due to the amount he drank Red Bull. He sometimes annoys Dan.
  • Dan - an egg who has blue eyes. He is a reasonable and predictable character that sometimes protests at Jason due to the confusion of him (such as protesting him due to yelling in Merry Christmas). He shares negatively over Jason.
  • Chrisi - a female egg who has yellow eyes. She is a kind, loving and caring character, but at times she could get sassy at her friends and hates being called a boy. In one episode, she hosts a show teaching people how not to be bored and forces people to go to Hell if they are still bored after her guide.
