The Continents States University is a private online university based in St. Louis, Missouri. It was founded in October 2022 and offers online graduate degree programs. The university offers distance education to students from across the globe.[1]

History

The Continents States University was established in October 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri by founder Dr. Ricky Madison according to state records and news reports..[2] The university was founded as an online graduate institution.

The Continents States University holds accreditation from the Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC) as listed on the university's website and ASIC's international directory of accredited institutions.[3][4] ASIC is an accreditation body based in the United Kingdom that conducts accreditation activities internationally.

The Continents States University is an educational member of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education as per the council's member directory.[5] This council provides accreditation for business and management education programs worldwide.

In 2022, the United Nations Economic and Social Council granted consultative status to The Continents States University according to UN records.[6] This status allows the university to formally participate in certain UN initiatives and activities.

The Continents States University holds an articulation agreement with Pathways College, a regionally accredited institution by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.[7][8] This partnership enables credit transfer between the two colleges.

The Continents States University is approved by the Online Trading and Healthcare Management (OTHM) organization to offer dual degrees in partnership with OTHM in certain countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates.[12] OTHM is recognized as a degree-awarding body by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), which regulates qualifications in England.[13]

According to an August 2023 news article, The Continents States University provides online education accessible globally, including to students in conflict-affected regions.[14] The university offers fully online business education programs.

Affiliations

In July 2023, The Continents States University became a member institution of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), part of the United Nations Global Compact initiative.[15][16] PRME is a United Nations-supported network of academic institutions focused on sustainable development and corporate responsibility.

In 2024, The Continents States University began the process of seeking pre-accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).[17]

The Continents States University is approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Approval #20707725) to enroll veterans under the Veteran Readiness and Employment (Chapter 31) and Personalized Career Planning and Guidance (Chapter 36) programs.[18]

The Continents States University is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) as a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) Sponsor.[19][20]
