Tao la Mashariki is a series of mountains and mountain ranges found in Tanzania and also in Kenya. It is the oldest mountain in East Africa with at least million hundred years.[citation needed]

- Taita Hills (only in Kenya)
- Upare Mountains of North and South[failed verification]
- Usambara Mountains of East and West
- Purple Mountains of the North and South[failed verification]
- Ukaguru Mountains
- Uluguru Mountains
- Rubeho Mountains

- Mahenge Mountains

- Uvidunda Mountains[failed verification]
