Scientia News (SN) is a United Kingdom-based educational website that provides free, quality research and revision resources for students worldwide. The organisation was founded on the 28th of December 2022, and since then has grown to over 60 volunteer content writers. SN covers a comprehensive list of STEM subjects only, such as biological sciences, medicine, physics, technology, maths, economics and dentistry.[1].
Articles and resources
[edit]The resources on the website come in 200+ articles written by Scientia News volunteers, and these articles are reviewed by the SN management team. The articles explain and delve into a multitude of STEM topics, breaking down the difficult concepts and making them easier to understand for students and learners. The resources also list a range of textbooks, other websites, YouTube channels and (e)books to aid in A-level, International Baccalaureate and university studies. Moreover, there is a separate section with resources to help students with university entrance exams.The website organisation also provides free and comprehensive CV and personal statement check services[2].
Volunteers
[edit]Scientia News was founded on the 28th of December 2022, and since then has grown to 60+ volunteer writers with over 200 articles published on the website. The volunteers include undergraduate students in STEM, as well as graduates and working professionals. In this way, SN as an organisation presents a forum between like-minded individuals to share and seek knowledge in the STEM fields[1].
Press
[edit]Scientia News is a member of the Student Publication Association (SPA) in the UK, as of January 2024[3]. As well as this, the well-known Stemettes Society has featured the organisation's founder in an article detailing the motivations and inspirations behind founding the website organisation[4]. Additionally, science podcast host Kameron's Lab recently interviewed the founder in a podcast that is available to listen on Spotify[5] and YouTube[6]
