Production
[edit]In December 2024, Living Dead Media revealed a teaser trailer announcing the development of a direct sequel to the 1983 film The Return of the Living Dead, simply titled Return of the Living Dead; filmmakers attached include Living Dead Media's CEO Steve Wolsh as writer and director, Christopher W. Fox (son of original Return producer Tom Fox) as executive producer, and Tony Gardener as makeup effects designer.[1][2][3] Additionally, the film's teaser and production is commited to not use computer-generated elements or green-screen, opting to use practical effects and shoot on location.[2][3] Due to a rights lawsuit prior to development, the film would not contain characters from the previous installment, with the exception of the "Tarman" zombie.[3][4]
Release
[edit]Return of the Living Dead is set to release on December 2025, by WithAnO Productions.[1][2][3]
