Pink Flamingo is the fifth studio album by Welsh band, Kids In Glass Houses. The album marks the bands first release in 11 years and their first since reuniting in 2023 for the 15 year anniversary re-release of their debut album, "Smart Casual".
The band announced their intention to make new music via an Instagram post after the final show of their Smart Casual tour in October 2023, with a handwritten sign saying "BRB making a new album", that was hidden from the crowd at their show in Cardiff.
The band entered Lime Green Monkeys, a recording studio owned by Jim Abbiss in Saffron Walden in February 2024. Guitarist Iain Mahanty and Adam "Cecil" Bartlett co-produced the album. The album was subsequently recorded for 3 months, between Saffron Walden, Mahanty's own studio "Oh So Sound" in Hackney and band members houses.
The first single, "Theme From Pink Flamingo", was released on June 19th, alongside the announcement of the album and subsequent Pink Flamingo tour, scheduled for November 2024.
