OneVest is a financial technology company with offices in Toronto, Ontario, and Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 2021 by Amar Ahluwalia, Jakob Pizzera, and Nathan Di Lucca. OneVest’s primary offering is wealth management software that can be delivered on a modular basis or as an end-to-end solution. Their goal is to provide financial institutions with modular software solutions that simplify client onboarding, portfolio management, analytics and more..[1] The company is continuing to expand its operations across North America.[2]

Technology

OneVest modules include onboarding, client management, portfolio management and trading, compliance, fees and billing, mobile applications, advisor portals and more.   

OneVest offers its platform to a range of different enterprise customers, including banks, credit unions, wealth managers, asset managers, insurance companies, and consumer FinTech companies. The platform’s main features are no-code personalization[3], integration[4], modules[5] and API customization[6]

OneVest allows financial institutions to integrate and configure components of wealth management offerings according to customer needs. It also facilitates the automation and streamlining of administrative and office functions that typically involve manual processes.

Funding History

In April 2022, OneVest raised $5 million in seed funding. The round was led by Luge Capital, a leading fintech-focused venture firm, with participation from OMERS Ventures, AAF Management, FJ Labs, National Bank of Canada’s corporate venture capital arm NAventures, Panache Ventures, and strategic angels.[7]

In June 2023, OneVest raised an additional $17 million in Series A funding. The round was led by OMERS Ventures with participation from existing investors, as well as new investors Fin Capital, Pivot Investment Partners and Deloitte Ventures.[8]

In the News

In 2022, Neo Financial[9] announced that they partnered with OneVest to launch Neo Invest, which is the first actively managed digital investment platform in Canada. The platform has been made available to customers through Neo’s website and mobile app.[10]

In March of 2024, OneVest and TrueNorth announced their partnership, with a goal to create more innovative wealth management technology solutions for North American financial institutions and banks.[11]

Shortly after, OneVest was also selected by Global View Capital Advisors as its wealth management platform for Canadian advisors. The partnership aimed to integrate OneVest’s technology offerings with the firm’s wealth management program.[12]

At the end of May 2024, OneVest launched its Model Portfolio Marketplace with the purpose of offering technology delivery with a selection of institutionally managed investment solutions to financial institutions.[13] This was in partnership with Vanguard.[14] In May of 2024, OneVest also announced their collaboration with BlackRock to feature a suite of model portfolios constructed using BlackRock’s iShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the Model Portfolio Marketplace.[15]
