OTAT, an emerging rap artist from Salé[1], Morocco, is currently based in Amsterdam. He gained significant recognition after reaching the finals of "Jam Show," a prominent Moroccan rap competition. OTAT is regarded as one of the leading voices representing the Moroccan diaspora and is a key figure in the new generation of rap artists.
OTAT began his musical journey in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, releasing his first freestyle, titled "Don't Panic[2]," on social media in January 2022, which received positive feedback from the audience. However, his true breakthrough came with his participation in the first season of "Jam Show."
OTAT gained widespread acknowledgment for his talent when he reached the finals of "Jam Show," a rap competition broadcast on Morocco's 2M TV[3]. The show is known for highlighting emerging talents in the Moroccan rap scene, with notable figures like ElGrandeToto and Dizzy Dros as judges. Throughout his performances on "Jam Show," OTAT showcased his unique style, impressing both the judges and the audience with his lyrical skills and compelling stage presence, securing him a spot in the finals. OTAT has emerged as a powerful voice representing both the Moroccan diaspora and his hometown of Salé.
