Melissa Lahti is an executive and creative impact producer, director, & designer. Before entering into the film industry she was a retail buyer specializing in trends and international import/export working for Powell's Books in Portland Oregon, Beadworks International, and for Tekne Designs. She was headhunted into media production in 2012 while living in Atlanta, GA. This was after the 2008 film incentives increase in Atlanta had brought an influx of show productions to the area. Melissa was the lead producer and a co-founder of Lamp-Lit Productions. A boutique production company based in Atlanta that ran award-winning cross-platform broadcast media campaigns for numerous studios and brands including Viacom, Disney, and PlayStation. They are known for launching the inaugural "I am a Runner" campaign promoting disability inclusion at the New York Marathon in 2013. In 2014, under her leadership, Lamplit Productions clinched the coveted 'Best Newcomer' and ‘Best in Show’ awards at the M50 in New York. Other notable projects with Lamp-Lit are 'Cat Heaven Island' with JourneyMan Pictures, and 'Nature Crafts with Nature Cat' on PBS.

Currently she is serving as an executive and creative producer at NEW MOON Impact Productions, a non-profit impact production company. Her notable projects with NEW MOON include 2024 Tribeca Special Jury Mention for an International Narrative Feature & 2024 Olympiad Culturelle Selection 'Samia', Oscar & BAFTA winning film 'NAVALNY' (uncredited, impact producer), 'The Korean War' for CCTV, a US based international co-production feature with China's public broadcasting via partnership with Cheery Media in 2021.

As an independent producer she also worked on 'Songland' Season 2 on CBS. Songland was one of the first shows to transition to remote production during the pandemic. Melissa worked with a field team for the "Summer State of Mind" episode.

Beyond production work, Melissa is a periodic instructor with the DCA in Africa. She also teaches masterclass workshops on international co-production and creative activism.

Melissa is the maternal granddaughter of Travis "Bunky" Levi McFee one of the inspirations for NEW MOON Impact Productions.
