Kyle M. Lascurettes is an Associate Professor of International Affairs at Lewis & Clark College. He specializes in International Relations Theory, Global Order & Global Governance, International Organizations, and Security Studies.[1]
Lascurettes holds a PhD and MA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Government and English Literature from St. Lawrence University. At Lewis & Clark College, Lascurettes teaches several courses, including "Introduction to International Relations, "International Organization," "Theories of International Relations," "Global Order," and thesis-level IA Seminar. He also serves as the Model UN Faculty Advisor.
Research
Lascurettes' research focuses on international relations, global order, and power politics. His notable works include "Orders of Exclusion: Great Powers and the Strategic Sources of Foundational Rules in International Relations" (Oxford University Press, 2020), which won the 2021 APSA Jervis-Schroeder Award for best book in international history and politics as well as the 2020-21 Otto Hieronymi Book Prize for best scholarly monograph in international relations.
