Karen Salicath Jamali (born February 18, 1968) is an American composer, pianist, producer, professional artist, painter, sculptor, and photographer. She is also a voting member of The Recordig Academy The Recording Academy . Jamali is known for her spiritual art, especially her angels in art and music. Her work has been shown widely in United State, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
Early life and education
[edit]Karen Salicath Jamali was born in Denmark. At the age of 8, she started to learn classical guitar from her teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
She completed her studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and then did her masters in 1991.
Career
[edit]Jamali started her career in 1991 and has since worked as a professional painter, sculptor, and photographer. Since 2015, she has worked as a composer, musician, and producer.
She has participated in 180+ exhibitions in museums and galleries, including the Louvre Museum in Paris. In recognition of her outstanding artwork, Karen Salicath Jamali has received several awards from the international art community, including Oscar Award in Art. Her built works include several permanent public sculptures- installations, and she is represented in 700+ private collections worldwide.
In art and music,she is known for her spiritual style, especially her angels. Including numerous awards for piano compositions, sculptures, Paintings, and art photography. She has performed solo at Carnegie Hall eight times with her compositions.
Karen Salicath Jamali started her professional art career in 1991 and her music career in 2015.
As of 2024, she has created 8 Albums & 2500+ music compositions. performed solo eight times in Carnegie Hall with her music. Her albums,"Angel Pollination" and "Hope of Angels", and "Sound of Angels", and her music video, "In Water", was accepted for the first ballot for the Grammy ® consideration of Best Classical Contemporary Composition. in the year 2021,2022 and 2023.
