Professional Experience
[edit]From 2017 to 2018, Jewett studied at Fashion Institute of Technology and The Actors Workshop in Levittown, New York. She performed at The Aloha Lounge’s Christmas Bash Event in 2018 in Astoria, New York. In 2019 she continued her musical education at Five Towns College, known for its celebrated alumni of well-respected musicians like Jon Bellion and Adam Levine (Maroon 5). Jillian studied Jazz Commercial Music Performance and minored in Business there. During this period, Skye released her first song on Soundcloud, a spinoff of XXXtentacion's interlude "Dead Inside" recorded with Corwin Griffith. From 2019 into 2022, Skye worked closely with sound engineer and musical composer Trevor Deblase, who has also worked with some big artist names in the music business today, such as Flatbush Zombies, Joey Bada$$ and many more. Jewett and Deblase worked together on three of her officially published songs as well as several unreleased projects. Later that year, national anthem singer, musician and worship leader Jonathan Wibben, mainly known for his performances with the NHL's New York Islanders at UBS Arena for the 2022-2023 season and the MLB's New York Mets, accompanied Jillian in several live performances at various well known and high reputable venues all across Long Island, NY. She then was invited to perform weekly at Coho Coffee House in Patchogue, NY where she contributed to the jazz-like atmosphere, singing several sets of different songs solo accompanied by musician and worship leader Sammy Nino.
