Jessie Zinn (born 10 January 1994) is a SAFTA nominated, award winning film director from Cape Town.[1] [2]Her work ranges from commercials to independent documentaries. [3][4][5] [6][7]

Her films have screened at international film festivals including Doc NYC, AFI Docs, and Visions Du Reel, and have received Vimeo Staff Picks.[8][9]I[10] [11]In 2017 she was named a "Marie Claire Future Shaper" for Marie Claire Magazine and in 2018 she was named a Mail & Guardian's "200 Young South African".[12][13]

Her latest film, "Drummies", was acquired by The New Yorker.[14]

She has a B.A (hons) from the University of Cape Town, and an M.FA. in Documentary Film from Stanford University.[15][16]
