Jay Wearden is a DJ from Openshaw Manchester that came to prominence on the early Acid House scene. Synonymous[clarification needed] as a DJ at The Thunderdome Manchester in the late 80's and as a DJ and promoter at the Hippodrome Middleton.[1] in the early 90's. One of the DJ's at the Blackburn illegal warehouse parties. He was included in the 'Revolutions & Reflections' exhibition along with his partner in Clash Promotions Colin Boulter about the musical history of the town Rochdale in the Touchstone museum. He was included in Dorothy's Acid House Love Blueprint[2][3] depicting a detailed history of the early Acid House scene. Jay has quoted been by Sasha on his Airdrawndagger[4] album, Autechre[5] and Together[6]as an early influence. He was also a DJ on Sunset Radio for Clash FM[7]
