Jack Massey Welsh, known online as JackSucksAtLife (formerly JackSucksAtMinecraft), is a popular British YouTuber, Gamer, and Guiness World Record Holder.[1] He began YouTube in 2010, and since then has gained popularity, due to his ongoing seires of getting as many YouTube Creator Awards as possible. This has led him to spend money in buying YouTube Channels, Extra Play Buttons, and other bizzare creator awards.

Jack Massey Welsh was born on June 24, 1996[3], and grew up in Ramshaw, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England.[4] He has an older brother. He has lived all across the United Kingdom, but is currently living in Nottinghamshire. In his earlier years, he attended Staindrop Comprehensive School in Staindrop, a town 12 kilometres from of his hometown of Bishop Auckland.[5]
He has a girlfriend, Rebecca (Becky) Taylor, who edits most of his videos, and a Jack Russell Terrier dog named Kong. When Becky moved in with him, she also took her family's Norfolk Terrier dog Flossy; many fans believed Flossy was Jack's dog. On the 8 September 2023, Becky announced via Twitter that Flossy had sadly passed away at 18 years old.[6]
Welsh has visited The Republic of Ireland, France, Spain, Türkiye, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hong Kong and the United States.[7]
YouTube Career

[edit]Jack started YouTube on an older channel called SamSmellsOfApricots, where he uploaded hand-drawn animations, sketches about many things, and even many short films with his secondary school friends' help. His channel gained a slight popularity, but after his final upload in 2011-2012, the channel remained dormant. and lost popularity. As of now, the channel has over 140,000 subscribers, because Jack mentioned the channel in one of his main channel videos[8], telling people to unsubscribe from it so he could have a silver play button without 100,000 subscribers. After this stunt, the channel only recieved 4 community posts[9] between 2020-2021, and has since remained dormant.
JackSucksAtMinecraft
[edit]In 2013, Jack restarted his YouTube Career with his YouTube channel JackSucksAtMinecraft (now called JackSucksAtLife). He began with simple lets-play content, but branched out his content to others, like playing minecraft minigames, maps, and mod content, just like other popular creators DanTDM, and PopularMMOs.[citation needed]
After this phase of content, Jack joined a Minecraft server called EvoPVP, where he uploaded Factions content, alongside his regular mod showcases. The server was a boost of content, but he left due to multiple reasons, such as the toxic community, and the unfair pay-to-win system. [citation needed] After Evo, he joined Skycade, where his content included trolling, and hacker catching. This made a main seires on his channel. He left Skycade on 10th August 2020, due to demotivation and him believing it was unfair to take a large pay cut for doing nothing to the server.[10] This was met by many mixed responses and caused some people to permanently leave the server. Along with his content from Skycade, and Evo, content, he played other things in minecraft, such as Minecraft Monday, a weekly event organized by KEEMSTAR (DramaAlert). He left after 9 weeks of this event, ending his streak[11], as Jack thought the event was getting repetitive. He touched some othe modded SMPs, which include Harmony Hallow and One Life. He also briefly touched Minecraft in August 2024[12], but abandoned it later.
JackSucksAtStuff and beyond
[edit]Jack has a second channel titled JackSucksAtStuff, where he used to post extra Minecraft content. But after quitting Skycade in August 2020, he started a Reddit seires, and in the first video he qouted about "posting more random, non-minecraft content".[13] He posts a Reddit video every Tuesday, and occasionally posts a long-form video. Welsh has also released many reaction videos, or what he calls "comparison videos", to JackSucksAtStuff. On 17 January 2023, he temporarily changed the profile picture of the channel to his face surrounded by rubber ducks as a Reddit post told him to.[14]
Jack also created a channel tittled "Jack Massey Welsh" (originally called "Friends and Nice Guys"), where he predominantly posts content about his Tesla Model 3. Jack bought this car in September 2019, and it features 18-inch aero wheels, and full self-driving capabilty.[15] Previous to this channel being his Tesla channel, it was a podcast channel between Jack and YouTuber SeaPeeKay, called Friends And Nice Guys. After five episodes, the podcast became very inactive, so Welsh converted it to his Tesla and car channel.[16]Welsh has paid off his Tesla by making videos about the Tesla that he bought in September 2019 and has received the new, white 2021 model and traded in the 2019 model, which was documented on the Jack Massey Welsh YouTube channel.[17]
On 27 March 2020, Jack tweeted that his most recent Reddit video had got to 20,000 likes and that he had made the channel "JackSucksAtGeography".[18] He posts content about geography-related topics, like maps, quizzes, and also has goals of remembering things, such as the names of all the capitals, along with the usual geography-related game, like Geoguesser. He almost cancelled the channel in June 2020, due to lack of attention, but resumed shortly after. He even had collabs on the channel, with YouTubers like Wilbur Smith.[19] Since 2022, this channel has also been his fastest growing. [20]
Jack made a channel in 2021 called "JackSucksAtClips" to satisfy fans who wanted to him to make "JackSucksAtWigs". He used to upload every two days, but after getting a channel manager uploads weekly compilations. He began a channel called "Geography Stuff 🌎" in an attempt to get an emoji (in his channel name a globe emoji) on a play button. It got 100K subs, but stopped uploading as of July 2023. It was announced on 25th September 2022.[21] Jack also made a channel for the kids game Pop-Up Pirate, after his fans hit a like goal on a video. He uploads every 100,000 subscribers he gets.
Jack made a YouTube channel called "JacksEpicYoutubeChannelFullOfFunTimesAndFunHiRickX" because he wanted to hold the record for the most YouTube channels owned by an individual, over 100,000 subscribers, which he later acheived.[1] Here, he posted random vlog videos, and later unicycle ones, and publicised it to gain the required subscirbers. Thereafter, he made a channel on July 10th, 2021, he made a channel titled "JACKSEPICYOUTUBECHANNELFULLOFFUNTIMESANDFUNHIRICKXHASNOTHINGONMEIAMTHESUPERIORCHANNELIHAVEMORECHARACTERSTHANALLOFJACKSYOUTUBECHANNELSCOMBINEDHAHAHAHAIHAVEMORECHARACTERSTHANJACKSUCKSATLIFEJACKSUCKSATSTUFFJACKMASSEYWELSHJACKSUCKSATGEOGRAPHYJACKSUCKSATCLIPSSAMSMELLSOFAPRICOTSJACKSUCKSATPOPUPPIRATEETCETCIMAGINETHISONAPLAYBUTTONJESUSCHRISTBTWPLEASESUBSCRIBETHANKYOUVERYMUCHHIRICKXxXxXXxxxxxxxXX" This channel was created using a glitch where one can create a channel with a username with more than the regular 50-character limit by modifying the HTML page source.[22] He uploaded low effort shorts, and publisced this to get 100,000 subscribers, and still plans to do nothing with it.
Jack collabed with popular creator MrBeast, and MrBeast made a channel called "Don't Subscribe", where the ironic goal is to subscribe to the channel, as each one will earn Jack 1 cent. Jack had a multitude of videos promoting this channel. In 2024. he also made a video where he bought YouTube channels. In this video he bought and modified channels "Fufik" and "pretty woman kitchen"
Awards and Accomplishments
[edit]Jack has a long-standing seires where he tries to get his hands on as many awards as possible. In spite of this seires, he has also made and received many fake awards. These include:
A JackSucksAtLife Silver play button was received by Jack in November 2019. He took out the centerpiece and made it into a gold chain. Jack recieved and unboxed a "We Write Your Chosen Text Here, Lorem ipsum, Lorem psum dolor sit amet" silver play button, and gave it to BurtBren in the same video he unboxed it. He got the "ChuChu TV Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs". It was sold on eBay for $622.33 (≈£470), which consisted of Jack's offer of $400, along with $87.08 for shipping and a $135.25 import charge. After some investigating, he deduced the award was fake. He also got a fake KSI gold play button, and a fake Diamond play button, in April 2020, and November 2021, respectively. He made a replica Red Diamond play button in Febuary 2021. He got a fake PewDieP[ie Brofist award replica in November 2019, Fecal-brown colored "turd boi420" in November 2019, Custom Wikitubia Hall of Fame award in Febuary 2020, Red Diamond Play Button Chest in July 2020, Fake Obsidian play button from Timeworks, Fake @JackMasseyWelsh 100,000 followers award in July 2021, and the 2008, Best Instructional award from the Best YouTube videos event, from pogobat (now Dan Brown), in May 2024.[23][24][25] On September 18th 2020, he got the Guiness World Record for the Individual with most youtube channels over 100,000 subscribers, which broke one again later.[1]
