Draft: Kayo Hustle review

[edit]

I read that releasing 2 albums from a major label or a notable independent label makes the artist notable. Kayo Hustle has 7 albums released by Empire who is a major independent label with artist like Young Dolph (rip), Snoop Dogg, and 50 cent on the roster.[[1]] Kayo Hustle is an Empire artist. GRMG2012 (talk) 13:09, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

where did you read that? I would like to read that too, but I believe no such a thing as releasing 2 albums from a major label or a notable independent label makes the artist notable.
Here's what I read, we consider WP:NBIO guidelines when dealing with the notability guidelines for biography articles in general and for musicians/bands as a category, we consider WP:SINGER guidelines, they may be helpful if you pass through them. Happy editing. ANUwrites 05:58, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I read it under the wiki notable artist reference page. [[2]] it was number 5 and it quotes, “Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).”
and Kayo Hustle has released a total of 7 albums with Empire. GRMG2012 (talk) 12:32, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will repeat my statement with further elaborations; With just 2 albums releases from a notable independent label, DOES NOT makes Kayo Hustler notable. As this is one of the 12 points that generate notability for a singer, we consider an artist notable if he/she passes atleast half of them. Kayo passes 1/12, and looking back and forth, none of Kayo's albums is listed to empire official site, dropping to 0/12. Recalling that; notability is not determined by what the article says, it is determined by how well the article does or does not support the things it says by referencing them to independent verification in reliable sources, Kayo Hustler still has a long way to go to have an article. [edit]

Hi @Anuwrites, Hope your doing good. Requesting you to please review this draft article Draft:Navneet Malik. Thankyou 117.230.23.220 (talk) 04:32, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @117.230.23.220 thank you for reaching out, I reviewed the page; even though it is accepted, it still has some issues to clarify and needs some more citations as asked by other editors. I believe you're not connected in any way to the subject too. ANUwrites 01:06, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No no @Anuwrites, I am nowhere related to the subject, I am just his fan. Thank you so much for reviewing the draft, I will try to improve it as you have asked to and will make it better. Thanks once again 117.230.15.218 (talk) 06:55, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Anuwrites, Hope your doing good. Requesting you to please review this draft article Draft:Udne Ki Aasha. Thankyou 117.202.235.41 (talk) 06:17, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for reaching out to me, I'll look into the draft and give you the feedback.
OPINION: I would encourage you to create a wikipedia account as the IP address range you're using is associated with several articles (inc.Navneet Malik). Account creation comes with several advantages including a static talk page, trust, tracking of your editing statistics, several editing rights, also easy to get notification when tagged, needed e.t.c. Help with new page

[edit]

Congrats on becoming a new page reviewer and thank you for taking a look at the new article I submitted yesterday. I was adding information on my favorite podcasts to Wikipedia and saw that Next Chapter Podcasts was missing. I was surprised an article didn't exist, so I decided to create it myself.

I did my best to not have any promotional content or for it to read like an advertisement. Is there anything specific in it that you feel is promotional and reads like an ad? If so, I will improve it.

Thank you ~~~~ Fernweh0 (talk) 16:34, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AFC acceptance of Raegan Revord (Actress)

[edit]

I am a little concerned about your acceptance of Raegan Revord (Actress) for a few reasons: it had been declined about an hour before you began editing it and then you accepted it/moved to mainspace a half hour later (I don't know how common it is to significantly expand an article at AFC and then self-accept it so that maybe isn't an issue at all). More importantly, it was moved into the mainspace to an unacceptable title. It has a miscapitalized and unneeded disambiguator, which was probably added because the base title, Raegan Revord, is salted and there is already a draft that has been declined many times at Draft:Raegan Revord. Did you look into the overall history and the previous AFD? To accept this article, I believe you should have made a request at WP:RFPP to reduce the protection level, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Reviewing instructions#If you cannot publish the draft: * If the destination page has been creation protected because of repeated recreation, it will be necessary to make a request for unprotection at Wikipedia:Requests for unprotection. I don't have any knowledge what the right path forward is but this will require some sort of admin decision re: the page protection. See also Talk:Raegan Revord (Actress)#Requested move 19 December 2024. Thanks. Skynxnex (talk) 19:07, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Skynxnex I would like to thank you for reaching out before answering the concerns on Raegan Revord (Actress) page, I would like to clarify that, I tend to have a deep web search on any page before reviewing, I also expand good/deserving drafts written by newbie editors before accepting them you can pass through my review log, and Raegan Revord (Actress) was so deserving. A reviewer who declined it looked into what's provided, I went far deep to see if it's worth.
  • Mistake I admit: After reviewing so many drafts and new pages that day, I let my tiredness make me "submit it for review" instead of moving it to "mainspace" as I planned, and to review it again myself, that was horrible.
  • I didn't request the move at WP:RFPP to remove unnecessary disambiguation because I didn't want to make any mistakes I had already done worse or create any concerns (like this right now). I didn't edit any more that day, more importantly, an editor saw that and handled it perfectly. I should thank them.
  • I checked into AFD history of the protected article in 2020 that was concluded to be WP:TOOSOON, the submitted draft in 2024 is far from WP:TOOSOON and could stand alone. Thanks.
ANUwrites 15:52, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I mostly see this as a good place to just learn all of the oddities that can happen with drafts like this. Like the odd disambiguator is a good clue to go look at the base name and other stuff to figure if there's some attempt to avoid things. I dunno what will happen and don't have time to look more into this, probably. Just feels weird the amount of editor time spent on Draft:Raegan Revord and some may be merged into if the one in mainspace stays. Ah well, sometimes that's the way the Wiki cookie crumbles. Happy editing. Skynxnex (talk) 16:04, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
