IFStile is a cross-platform freeware fractal finder, analyzer, editor and renderer that can evaluate many metric and topological properties of attractors using numerical and symbolic computations.

Features

[edit]

IFStile supports affine iterated function systems in a Euclidean space of arbitrary dimension (as 2D or 3D sections) using special domain-specific declarative language. Also, JavaScript can be used in advanced scenarios.

IFStile highlighted features are:

  1. Fully automatically find interesting fractal shapes, rep-tiles, multi-tiles, irreptiles, carpets, dragons, etc.
  2. Extract the boundary of self-affine tiles as directed graph IFS.
  3. Compute Hausdorff dimension of the boundary of self-affine tiles (numerically and analytically).
  4. Effectively zoom IFS fractals.
  5. Render keyframe animation.
  6. Create and save fractals as 3D mesh.
  7. Export Apophysis .flame format.
