Hinduja Tech is an Automotive Engineering and Digital Technology services company, founded in 2009. It is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. As a division of the Hinduja Group, a multi-billion-dollar global business Conglomerate, Hinduja Tech holds a position in the Electric Vehicle (EV) and Autonomous space.[1][2][3]

The company has a global presence with offices in the United States, Canada, Mexico, India, the UK, Germany, Japan, China, and Romania.[4]

History

Hinduja Tech Limited, established in 2009 as Defiance Technologies Limited (part of the Hinduja Group). In 2014, the company underwent a rebranding initiative and was renamed Hinduja Tech from Defiance Technologies Limited. The rebranding aimed to align the company with the Hinduja Group's brand identity and signify its global aspirations.[5]

In February 2021, Ashok Leyland purchased Nissan International's 38% stake in Hinduja Tech for ₹70 crore.[6][7]

In December 2022, Hinduja Tech acquired Drive System Design (DSD), established in 2007. DSD provides advanced engineering to an automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway, defense and aviation industries from locations in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Asia.[4][8]
