Giraffe360

[edit]

Giraffe360 is a property technology company founded in 2016 that offers a robotic camera system designed to automate the creation of virtual tours, high-dynamic-range (HDR) photography, and floor plans for real estate professionals. The company's technology is particularly valued for its ability to provide high-quality visuals and accurate floor plans, helping real estate agents and brokers improve the marketing of properties.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Giraffe360 was founded by Latvian brothers Mikus Opelts and Madars Opelts in 2016, with headquarters in London, United Kingdom, and key operations in Riga, Latvia.[1] The company initially began as a solution for real estate professionals to capture property visuals efficiently without requiring professional photographers. By leveraging robotics and AI, Giraffe360 has expanded internationally, serving markets across 30 countries, including the UK and US.[2] The company opened a base in Miami, Florida in 2023 to support its growing US market presence.[3]

Products and Services

[edit]

Giraffe360 provides a subscription-based service centered around its robotic camera, the Giraffe360 Go Cam, which integrates LiDAR technology and AI to automate the process of capturing virtual tours, HDR photographs, and floor plans. The system uses more than 200,000 point-measurements to generate highly accurate floor plans with an accuracy rate of 98%.[1] The camera also automates image processing and tour assembly through Giraffe360’s proprietary software, offering real estate professionals a streamlined tool for property marketing without the need for extensive technical expertise.[4] The camera's ease of use, combined with in-house AI-powered editing, allows agents to customize visuals and maintain brand consistency across multiple listings.[1]

Funding and Investors

[edit]

As of November 2022, Giraffe360 had raised $22 million in equity financing and $9 million in venture debt. The company completed a $16 million Series A funding round led by Founders Fund, with participation from Hoxton Ventures, LAUNCHub Ventures, and other investors.[5][2] These funds have supported the company’s expansion into new markets, product development, and increased manufacturing capacity at its facility in Riga, Latvia.[1]

Clients and Market

[edit]

Giraffe360 serves over 1,000 clients, including major real estate firms such as CBRE, Keller Williams, eXp Realty, and RE/MAX. The system is designed to save time and costs by providing real estate professionals with a tool that integrates photography, virtual tours, and floor plans in a single package.[1][6]

Competitors

[edit]

Giraffe360 operates in a competitive market alongside other virtual tour providers such as Matterport. Unlike some competitors, Giraffe360 offers a hardware-as-a-service (HaaS) model and has integrated its own proprietary LiDAR technology into its cameras, allowing for faster and more accurate property scanning.[2]
