gget[1][2] is a suite of software tools designed to perform common transcriptomics and proteomics data analysis tasks in a single line of code, including protein structure prediction using AlphaFold, gene set enrichment analysis, and querying of data from genomic databases such as Ensembl genome database project, National Center for Biotechnology Information, and UniProt. Since its first release in 2022[3], gget has been installed over 150,000 times[4][5][6] (as of October 7, 2024) from PyPI and Conda.
gget is an open source project that is available to users for free and can be used from Python (programming language), Bash (Unix shell), and R (programming language).
gget's user manual, documentation, and a link to the source code can be found at gget.bio.
