- Comment: Most of the cited sources straight up never mentioned the subject, and the majority of the remaining citations (trivial mentions, entry in databases, WP:ROUTINE announcements of appointments and events) are pretty weak in establishing notability. He is very notable this article just needs to have more citations. There are lots of Russian and Kazakh sources that the article can use that are independent but are not cited here.
Dias Suleimenov (Kazakh: Диас Төлеутайұлы Сүлейменов, Russian: Диас Тулеутаевич Сулейменов; born 27 July 1972 in Temirtau, Karaganda Region, Kazakh SSR, USSR) is a Kazakh businessman, General Director of Kamkor Management LLP, President of the National Ski Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[1][2], Vice-President of the National Paralympic Committee, member of the Board of Trustees of the Kazakh Geographical Society and a Member of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[3][4]
Early life and education
[edit]Dias Suleimenov was born on July 27, 1972. His father is Kazakh statesman Tuleutai Suleimenov, the first Minister of Foreign Affairs, diplomat, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a number of countries. In 1995, he graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in International Relations. In 1996, he also received a degree in International Economic Relations from Georgetown University (USA). In 2000, he graduated from Satbayev University with a degree in development and operation of oil and gas fields with the qualification of a mining engineer-oiler.[5]
Career
[edit]Suleimenov began his career in 1996 at the National Bank of Kazakhstan as chief economist, where he worked until the end of 1997. For 12 years from 1997 to 2009, he worked in senior positions in KazMunayGas and its subsidiaries, at different times dealing with marketing, transport logistics, import and export of oil, gas and products of their processing. From 2009 to 2010 Suleimenov worked as General Director of Petroleum Operating LLP. From January to November 2010 he was the First Deputy General Director, since November 2010 he has become the General Director of Kamkor Management LLP.[6]
Management of the Group of Companies "Kamkor Management"
[edit]Dias Suleimenov headed the group of companies "Kamkor Management" in 2010.[7]
As of today the group of companies "Kamkor Management" has implemented a number of important socio-economic projects of railway and road construction in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad. [8] Among them:
- Uzen-state border with Turkmenistan (2010-2011)[9]
- Shalkar-Beyneu (2012–2016)[10] [11]
- Borzhakty-Ersay (2014-2015)[12]
- second tracks on the Almaty–Shu section (2015–2017)[13][14]
- reconstruction of the highway of republican significance "Beyneu - Akzhigit - the border of the Uzbekistan" (to Nukus). This project was implemented within the framework of the strategic state program "Nurly Zhol" (2017-2019).[15][16][17]
- electrification of the railway line “Pop-Namagan(Kokand) – Andijan” in the framework of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) (the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2019-2021).[18]
Under the guidance of Dias Suleimenov the group of companies "Kamkor Management" is currently implementing projects of republican and international significance. Among them:
- design and reconstruction of railway infrastructure facilities on the line “Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulești” (Moldova, 2022-2025)[19][20][21][22][23][24]
- electrification of the railway section “Pop-Namagan(Kokand) – Andijan” in the framework of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) (the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2022-2025)
- capital repair of a road section “Kaztal-Zhanybek-the boarder with the Russian Federation”[25][26]
- construction of the second track of the railway section “Dostyk-Mointi” (2023-2024).[27]
Partnership relations have been built for the maintenance and repair of railway equipment with large transnational subsoil use companies, such as the Eurasian Resources Group, KAZ Minerals, ArcelorMittal, Kazatomprom, Alstom, Plasser & Theurer, General Electric and CITIC Construction[28]
"KAMKOR GREEN" program
At the initiative of Suleimenov, in pursuance of the concept for the transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a green economy[29], in 2019 a large-scale environmental program KAMKOR GREEN was launched.[30][31][32][33][34] Since 2022 the KAMKOR GREEN program has covered all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and has been included in the large-scale ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) Sustainable Development Strategy.[35]
Social activities
[edit]From 2009 to 2019 Suleimenov was the President of the NGO "Stolichnaya Boxing Federation"[36].
Since 2015 he has been a Member of the Coordination Council of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan.[37].
From 2016 to 2019 he was the Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[38][39]
Since 2019 Suleimenov has been the Vice-President of the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[40][41]
Since 2019 Suleimenov has become a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Kazakh Geographical Society.
On February 18, 2020, he headed the National Ski Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[42][43]
Since February 26, 2020 he has become a Member of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[44][45]

[edit]Suleimenov is married to Suleimenova Alina, who is a founder of the House of Interiors “Dialin”.[49] The couple has 3 children. The sister Suleimenova Aidan is president of the Ayala Charitable Foundation.[50][51]
