Bahi (Assamese: বাঁহী) was an Assamese monthly magazine which was edited by Lakshminath Bezbarua.
History
[edit]The magazine was first published in November 1909 and played an important role in the development of the Assamese language and literature. The magazine was first published in Kolkata (then Calcutta) and later in Dibrugarh and then in Guwahati. Bezbarua was succeced by Omeo Kumar Das as the editor, and after Bezbarua's death in 1938, his nephew Madhav Chandra Bezbarua takes over the editing.[1]
