Arjun Mark (born 1980) is an Indian photographer known for his contemporary approach to fashion and beauty photography.
Early life and education
[edit]Arjun Mark was born in South India and spent his early years moving across various towns and cities within the region. Influenced by his mother, who was an artist, he developed an early interest in the arts. Initially pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mark later shifted his focus to study Visual Communication at Loyola College, Chennai. It was during his time at Loyola College that he was introduced to photography.
While in college, Mark worked part-time as an apprentice to various photographers. After completing his degree in 2004, he continued to apprentice full-time with photographers based in Chennai and Mumbai for four years. He began his independent career in Chennai and later moved to Mumbai in 2011.
Career
[edit]Mark has been recognized in Lürzer's Archive's 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide[1] for multiple years. He also serves as a Canon EOS Ambassador for India[2]
Personal life
[edit]Arjun Mark is an avid game-fishing enthusiast and has a deep interest in ocean life and wildlife.
