This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Aeroflot Flight 608 was a scheduled passenger flight from Irkutsk to Bratsk[1]. On May 4, 1972, the Yak-40 operating the flight was met with heavy wind sheer during approach,[2][3] causing the aircraft to crash, killing all occupants onboard the aircraft.[1][2][4]
This accident is the 22nd worst accident of the Yakovlev Yak-40 and the 46th worst accident in 1972.[1]
Aircraft

- MSN: 9040314[1][3][4]
- Registration: CCCP-87778[1][2][3][4]
Accident
[edit]During approach, the air traffic control had not been given the current weather report, despite this, the controller told the Yak-40 the previous weather report although the weather had deteriorated. The aircraft while still on approach, had encountered a wet snow storm, the storm caused a downdraft onto the aircraft, causing it to contact the trees and explode, killing everyone onboard.[1][2][3][4]
