- Should not be completely erased. Uyghur civilization outlasted the Uyghur empire and influenced the Mongols. Civilizations are not the same as empires. Nik Sage (talk/contrib) 15:52, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Neither civilisations nor empires are defined by "horse archers". This is just an element that is particularly noticeable to their enemies. I don't understand why this category and the abyssmal article Horse archer civilizations exist, as the purported subject matter is a fabrication. The real essence of those cultures, be they empires, civilisations, or something else, is perfectly well captured in Category:Eurasian nomads and Eurasian nomads.
