There are also the following in Category:Famous model railroads which have not been tagged:
- Carolwood Pacific Railroad - notable
- Gorre & Daphetid - unsure if notable
- The Great Train Story - notable
- Pendon Museum - notable
I'd suggest that a model rail layout is notable if it satisfies one of these criteria:
- A reasonable number of people who are not rail modellers have heard of it (the ones I've put notable next to all satisfy this criteria)
- It was significant in the development of the hobby - (Pendon may satisfy this too)
