Wikipedia requested photographs in Japan is a top category having subcategories, each of which offers a way for an editor to ask others to provide location specific photographs for an article. If the photo request is for a known specific location in Japan, please add |pref-photo=(name of prefecture) to the {{WikiProject Japan}} banner. For example, to request a photo in Ōita Prefecture, you would add |pref-photo=Ōita to the {{WikiProject Japan}} banner.
