The scandal around the studio's closure

[edit]

Alexey Menshikov, the CEO of Beatshapers and founder of Fortell Games, has come under scrutiny for alleged unethical business practices. While Beatshapers is known for indie titles like Machines of Madness, Menshikov’s new venture, Fortell Games, is focused on reviving Blocksworld through a Kickstarter campaign. Despite this, numerous reports suggest ongoing financial and management issues.

Former collaborators have reported unpaid invoices and unfulfilled commitments, with accusations of poor communication and delayed payments. Anonymous testimonies from employees point to similar concerns, including unpaid wages and a lack of transparency. It is known to be the case of Menshikov's post wearing the new Apple Vision Pro glasses, for which he received criticism given reports of salary delays.
