Barik Rud-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان باريك رود شمالی)[a] is in the Central District of Fereydunkenar County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Suteh.[3] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Firuzabad,[4] now a neighborhood of the city of Fereydunkenar.
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Barik Rud Rural District of the former Fereydunkenar District of Babolsar County) was 4,506 in 1,277 households.[5] In the following census of 2011, there were 3,914 inhabitants in 1,235 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Fereydunkenar County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District and renamed Barik Rud-e Shomali Rural District.[3][a] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 3,991 in 1,381 households. The most populous of its nine villages was Suteh, with 1,511 people.[2]
