The 2025 Philippine local elections in the Cordillera Administrative Region are scheduled to be held on May 12, 2025.

Abra

Governor of Abra

Incumbent Dominic Valera (Asenso Abrenio) is running for mayor of Bangued. Valera was elected with 51.10% of the vote in 2022.

On December 9, 2024, Valera was suspended for 60 days by the Office of the President for violating the Local Government Code of 1991 in filling a vacancy in a municipal council. Russell Bragas (Asenso Abrenio), the acting vice governor, took over as acting governor.

Vice Governor of Abra

Incumbent Joy Bernos (Asenso Abrenio) is running for a first full term. Bernos was elected with 71.42% of the vote in 2022.

On August 12, 2024, Bernos was suspended for 18 months by the Office of the President over an order as governor in 2020 to lockdown a hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. A court in Abra halted Bernos' suspension on September 2 for 20 days. On December 9, Bernos was suspended for 60 days by the Office of the President for violating the Local Government Code of 1991 in filling a vacancy in a municipal council.

Russell Bragas (Asenso Abrenio), a member of the Abra Provincial Board for the 2nd provincial district, took over as acting vice governor. When Bragas became acting governor after Governor Dominic Valera was suspended on December 9, 2024, Allan Seares (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas), a provincial board member for the 2nd provincial district, took over as acting governor.
