American college football season
The 2024 Akron Zips football team represented the University of Akron in the Mid-American Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season . The Zips were led by Joe Moorhead in his third year as the head coach. The Zips played their home games at InfoCision Stadium , located in Akron, Ohio .[ 1]
On July 19 the MAC announced the preseason coaches poll. Akron was picked to finish eleventh in the conference. They received zero votes to win the MAC Championship .[ 2] [ 3]
