If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

• Sunan Abu Dawood (currently a redirect to Sunan Abi Dawud) → Sunan Abi Dawud (move · discuss) – WP:MOSAR. "Abi Dawud" is fully in line with the 'basic transcription' used throughout Wikipedia for Arabic article titles. What we call 'full transliteration' (which would be "ʾAbī Dāwūd" according to Wikipedia's standards, never "Abi Dawood" or "Abu Dawood") is usually only reserved for the first mention in the lead. It's also WP:COMMONNAME per Google scholars 6,480 results for Sunan Abi Dawud while 741 results for Sunan Abu Dawood), same with JSTOR, Brill, Taylor & Francis and other WPRS, not mentioning all of them here to keep it concise. • Jim Berger (statistician) (currently a redirect to James O. Berger) → Jim Berger (currently a redirect instead to James Berger) (move · discuss) – Only article with title since Jim Berger (singer) was deleted, hatnote can be added for other James Bergers. • Toronto Metropolitan University's Student Learning Centre (currently a redirect to Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre) → Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre (move · discuss) – WP:COMMONNAME. Currently, Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre just redirects to Toronto Metropolitan University, leaving this article orphaned. Specifying ownership of this building to Toronto Metropolitan University in the title seems over-the-top when the actual name is right there. Aknell4 (talk · contribs) 22:44, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
• Frederick Sutermeister (currently a redirect to Friedrich Sutermeister) → Friedrich Sutermeister (move · discuss) – The suggested name is as it appears in the German-language Wikipedia. • Travel requirements for Polish citizens (currently a redirect to Visa requirements for Polish citizens) → Visa requirements for Polish citizens (move · discuss) – "Travel requirements for German citizens" and "Travel requirements for French citizens" have been moved to "Visa requirements for German citizens" and "Visa requirements for French citizens" respectively. Moving "Travel requirements for Polish citizens" to "Visa requirements for Polish citizens" as well would make the Wiki more consistent. • Coimbatore Bypass Road (currently a redirect to Coimbatore bypass) → Coimbatore Bypass (currently a redirect instead to Coimbatore bypass) (move · discuss) – Bypass Road is a redundant term.   It would probably be best to first establish a consensus for your proposed WP:content fork in a discussion before preemptively renaming the current article, or to develop a second article in the Wikipedia WP:Draft space. Also, the existence of two articles can often be sufficiently addressed by a WP:TWODABS approach without needing to add a disambiguation qualifier to both titles. —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 20:20, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

  @BarrelProof: is WP:content fork really the appropriate channel for this when Tabal the region and Tabal the state are different topics whose main relation consists of the state being located in the region without being identical to each other? Antiquistik (talk) 10:49, 22 February 2024 (UTC)

• Ergonomics → Human Factors (currently a redirect back to Ergonomics) (move · discuss) – Ergonomics and Human Factors are not interchangeable terms in the US. Internationally they are sometimes used interchangeably in conversation but not when being applied. Ergonomics primarily addresses the body's interactions with the environment, whereas Human Factors addresses the mind's interactions.   The move to 'Kashmir Park' was indeed correct. In 2022, amusement park and commercial activities ceased on a court order, and later it was renamed and turned into a public park by local authorities.[1][2] War Wounded (talk) 18:21, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
