File copyright problem with File:Joe Cookman.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Joe Cookman.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 17:02, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

Abel Minard article
[edit]Hello, Thanks for your contribution to the Abel Minard article. It needs a bit of help, and I'm happy to help if you'd like.
- He's referenced in other articles (e.g., Theodore Fitz Randolph, so it would be good to do a search and link the Abel Minard article by placing brackets around his name, like this: [[Abel Minard]] in articles where he is mentioned.
- More information is needed about him, particularly regarding how he is noteworthy.
- Insert link to articles, such as [[industrialist]], [[entrepreneur]] and [[New York]]
If I can help out, let me know. You can answer here, or leave a message on my talk page.--CaroleHenson (talk) 07:30, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- You also left a sentence fragment "The elder Minard". I've made it invisible for now ("commented it out" in the jargon). And please give us the source for your information, as references. I would disagree with the editor above, in that I don't think there's much to gain from linking "industrialist" and "entrepreneur", but there should be a link to Sandlake. Surprising that it's red - are you sure you've spelled it right? Thanks. PamD 08:50, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Findlay headshot.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Findlay headshot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 23:27, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 21
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Association of National Advertisers, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Glidden and Burroughs (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
