Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, RichardCacioppo, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that you have an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that:
- Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- Most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- Freely-licensed images may be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images, from where they can be used on Wikipedia and many other wikis?
- We recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process - at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
am I confirmed now? can I upload pictures to wikipedia instead of the commons?RichardCacioppo (talk) 14:45, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
there was a message on my wiki page that said....

I want to correct the errors but I don't know where to start. I did a spell check but I can't get the message to go away...RichardCacioppo (talk) 20:21, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

Problems with upload of File:Davison cleaner fnal 2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Davison cleaner fnal 2.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:06, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Pansini Final.jpeg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Pansini Final.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NtheP (talk) 18:39, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Blue Pearl robotic pool cleaner.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Blue Pearl robotic pool cleaner.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - You were asked to stop, you did not, please can you amend the File information for each of the files explaining where they came from or I will be forced to nominate ALL of your file uploads that you claim are yours for deletion on grounds of disputed licensing. Disambiguation link notification for February 18
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Old Stone Arch Bridge (Bound Brook Borough, Middlesex, New Jersey), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages New Hope and Piscataway (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:33, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much. will the "Dab Solver" fix or remove all of the disambiguous links contained in the article? RichardCacioppo (talk) 18:56, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
I've attempted to fix the article and removed all disambiguation pages....when will the notices at the top of the page be removed?RichardCacioppo (talk) 19:22, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
