A'Zyrian "Zy" Alexander is an American football cornerback for the LSU Tigers. He previously played for the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.

Early life and high school

Alexander attended Loreauville located in Loreauville, Louisiana. Coming out of high school, Alexander decided to commit to play college football for the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.[1][2]

In the 2022 season, Alexander had a breakout season notching 27 tackles, four pass deflections, and a school record six interceptions.[3] During Alexander's career at Southeastern Louisiana, he totaled 97 tackles, 12 pass deflections, and nine interceptions, while also being named a FCS all-American in 2022, and being named first team all-Southland Conference in 2021 and 2022.[4][5] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Alexander decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[6][7]

LSU

Alexander decided to transfer to play for the LSU Tigers.[8][9] In week seven of the 2023 season, Alexander recorded nine tackles and two pass deflections in a win over Auburn.[10] In week eight, Alexander hauled in an interception before leaving due to an injury in a win over Army.[11] During the 2023 season, Alexander tallied 44 tackles, seven pass deflections, and two interceptions.[12]
