William Black is a DJ and music producer based in Los Angeles California.[1]

Early life

Born in Long Beach, California, Black later moved to Irvine, California at an early age. As a child, Black enjoyed sports and skating and was introduced to electronic music by his sister. In high school, Black begun attending raves and music festivals where he claimed he drew inspiration from in deciding on pursuing music as a career.[2]

Career

Black moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career and attended Icon Collective Music Production School while simultaneously working retail jobs to support his income. On November 19, 2018, Black released his first Extended Play under the title "Universe" which Charted on the iTunes Dance Charts at #1.[1] After one year, on August 22, 2019, his debut album “Pages” was released which would go on to chart on both the iTunes and Billboard Dance Charts.[3]

On April 24, 2020, in collaboration with American DJ Duo, Slander, and featuring singer, Annika Wells, William Black released the single "Back To U" which would go on to become the most streamed song for Black.[4] After a handful of more singles, on November 5, 2021, his second album "Pieces" was released.[5]

In 2022, William Black would headline his second tour featuring 18 stops around the United States.[6] His most recent album, "The Nature of Hope" was released November 3, 2023.[7] The album featured collaborations with other notable producers such as Illenium and Dabin. Alongside the release of the album, Black announced he would be headlining an accompanying tour featuring 20 stops.[8]
