The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints under construction in Springfield, Oregon, a suburb of Eugene.[4][5]

The temple will be the third in Oregon after the Portland Oregon Temple and the Medford Oregon Temple.

President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to build the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple on April 4, 2021, at the 191st annual General Conference.

The location and a rendering for the temple were announced on September 2, 2021. The temple will be located in the far north end of Springfield, a suburb of Eugene.[5]

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 29, 2022, led by Elder Valeri V. Cordón, the first counselor in the North America West Area Presidency.[6]
