WikiProject X is live!
Hello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Recent changes to the graphics for Template: Medal
There is a template talk page discussion regarding the graphics used for medalists in infobox medals tables occurring at Template talk:Medal#Changing from gold/silver/bronze to 1/2/3. As this discussion is within the scope of WP:Triathlon, you are invited to make your comments on the recent graphics changes there. Cheers. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 15:55, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
NOTICE: Persondata has been officially deprecated
Persondata has been deprecated and the template and input data are subject to removal from all bio articles in the near future. For those editors who entered accurate data into the persondata templates of Olympic triathletes and other bio subjects, you are advised to manually transfer that data to Wikidata before the impending mass deletion occurs in order to preserve accurate data. Here are three examples of Wikidata for notable swimmers: Ryan Lochte, Mary Wayte and Dara Torres. If you have any more questions about the persondata removal, Wikidata, etc., please ping me. Triathlon competitions
is not a catagory where you dump yearly results of multiple individual competitions
- These were not multiple individual competitions listed on one page. These 3 articles are single, stand-alone triathlon events, i.e. triathlon competitions. Please discuss on talk page before removing again. BarkeepChat/$ 13:59, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Category:Triathlon competitions, did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Can you not read what is written? The category Triathlon competitions is not a yearly event catagory —Loginnigol (talk) 15:36, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Please, then, tell me what it is. BarkeepChat/$ 15:39, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Well the 2011 ITU Sprint distance and the 2012 ITU sprint distance events belong to a catagory that collects ALL the yearly eventys of that SPECIFIC competition. That's how categories work on Wikipedia. —Loginnigol (talk) 15:44, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Can you reference a Wikipedia policy on this? I personally disagree, particularly in how it relates to triathlon. These are individual triathlon competition that are fit to be labeled with the category "Triathlon competitions." If you are adamant that this category be removed I suggest we move to seek a thrid-party's opinion elsewhere to resolve the difference. BarkeepChat/$ 15:51, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
