Hello. I have created a new page for Manuela Mölgg, sister of Manfred Mölgg. However, I'm not sure, how do you spell the surname - Mölgg or Moelgg (different sources are using different spelling). --VoletyVole (talk) 11:16, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Peak 2 Peak Gondola - attn pls
I tried adding class and important switches to the WP:Ski template but it didn't work, so leaving a notice here. New issues/content templates have been placed, on top of the ones already there; multiple issues (see templates at top of page); this is 2010 Olympics upgrade (unofficial but de facto) to Whistler Blackcomb and article has been created by COI, also because of recent Excalibur Gondola accident high-profile as far as new technology/infrastructure goes. Should be brought into alignment with other major lift-system articles...not my forte, just asking for help, also with other Whistler infrastructure articles (still no Whistler Olympic Village article), though Whistler Sliding Centre and Whistler Olympic Park seem to be coming along.....Skookum1 (talk) 00:44, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
I have made a new page for 2008-09 Tour de Ski. I think that I can't improve this more by myself. Especially with grammar and templates and stuff like that, so I ask for someone to comb it over. Maybe it needs some more references also. --Voletyvole (talk) 20:52, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Merge proposal for duplicate articles about Snowbird ski resort
Currently Snowbird (ski resort) and Snowbird, Utah duplicate each other. I have proposed merging Snowbird (ski resort) into Snowbird, Utah. Please comment on the merger proposal here. Thanks, Baileypalblue (talk) 12:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Skiing article got GA today
Just wanted to let you all know that the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 earned Good Article status. This is the first non-ice hockey winter sports article to earn that honor. Chris (talk) 23:26, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the good news, and congratulations -- I see you've done a lot of work on the article in advance of the event. Baileypalblue (talk) 02:03, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Congratulations! DeMoN2009 17:22, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola - massive edits & name-change

External Link Clean Up
There are tons of ski resorts that have an external link next to the name and a ton that don't. I think it would be best to keep the external link in the ski resorts page and remove the external links from the listing. I can get this started if you want.--Trnrez (talk) 19:37, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
GAN backlog reduction - Sports and recreation
As you may know, we currently have 400 good article nominations, with a large number of them being in the sports and recreation section. As such, the waiting time for this is especially long, much longer than it should be. As a result of this, I am asking each sports-related WikiProject to review two or three of these nominations. If this is abided by, then the backlog should be cleared quite quickly. Some projects nominate a lot but don't review, or vice-versa, and following this should help to provide a balance and make the waiting time much smaller so that our articles can actually get reviewed! Renaming
I don't know if it's just me, but the name is grammatically incorrect in my own eyes. Any ideas on renaming this to WikiProject Skiing? Kevin Rutherford (talk) 05:07, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- I can agree on that. And maybe the subject should be divided into Alpine skiing and Cross-country skiing. LarRan (talk) 10:44, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- A few task forces would do the trick on that. I'm going to move it "soon" if there aren't any objections. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 23:43, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- It does not sound right to me either... what about riders..(er.. snowboarders)? SYSS Mouse (talk) 03:05, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- how about adding a task force for that other sliding on snow thing - toboganning ? (GT Sno Racers run on skis...; and the Concrete Toboggan is a toboggan competition on snow...) 70.29.210.242 (talk) 11:19, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Proposed name
I'm thinking of "Skiing and Snowboarding", "Ski and Snowboarding", or "Ski and Snowboard". Kevin Rutherford (talk) 23:59, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation suffixes
Hey there.
How do we disambiguate cross-country skiers, by adding "(cross-country skier)" or just "(skier)"?
