Chasing local contacts

The Broughton Spurtle are going to post an announcement this coming week, and mention the workshop in their next print edition.
I've contacted Fiona Myles of Central Library asking who is the best person to speak to in the council regarding venues.
Left notices on a couple of OpenStreetMap people's pages asking them to get involved.

Have you contacted the local flickr groups? They've usually got a fairly robust local network of photographers - even if none of their participants are interested, they may be able to point you towards good places to advertise it. Andrew Gray (talk) 20:51, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Other publicity

Peter is working on a flier, and we've come up with the tagline: "Edinburgh The city you can photograph".

Urdu or Punjabi might be a better bet than Hindi, from what I remember of Edinburgh demographics - poking around for some figures, this is national data and children are of course different in proportions from the adult population, but it's indicative.

Dates

Yeah, affordable accomodation will be nonexistent — unless you're 30-odd km outside the city. But, as andrew says, you could get some great "intangible cultural heritage" images - which is one of the things Museums Galleries Scotland is keen on getting documented. --Brian McNeil /^talk 06:25, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
