Origin of "We Are Penn State"
I just ran across this article about former Nittany Lion tailback Wallace Triplett which revealed a fact I did not know: It alleges the now-famous slogan was first uttered by guard Steve Suhey in 1947. Apparently Suhey declared, “We are Penn State. There will be no meetings,” in response to SMU's request for a meeting to protest the participation of Penn State's two black players in the 1948 Cotton Bowl.
Is there somewhere where the "We Are Penn State" chant is discussed? Should this accompany that section? —xanderer (talk) 16:05, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
McLanahan's?
There's a good article on McLanahan's here. Does it fall within the scope of this project? —xanderer (talk) 16:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
