"The driving tour road is in a spherical shape around the battlefield," I find this hard to believe. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 23:19, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, on second thought I should have probably written "circular". I blame MO DESE for my poor word choices Hog Farm Talk 07:00, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Good, well-written review nonetheless. I have toured many of the battlefields east of the Mississippi River but none to the west of the river. So it is interesting to hear about battlefield preservation west of the river. Some important battles early in the war were fought in Missouri, in particular. Price's 1864 campaign and many mostly smaller actions were fought there throughout the war as well. Of course, the guerrilla/partisan activity was widespread and especially brutal. The driving tour at Perryville, Kentucky mainly circles the battlefield, as I recall. Donner60 (talk) 23:37, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
