- I was looking to buy the Caesar book, until I saw this review. Not so sure now. Gog the Mild (talk) 12:33, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- For the reader who wants a lot more detail, I recommend Roth, Jonathon (1999). The Logistics of the Roman Army at War (264 B.C. - A.D.235). Leiden: E. J. Brill. ISBN 978-9004225473. OCLC 883520579., based on his 1991 PhD. It isn't an easy read though. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 20:33, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Having wandered around Arnhem a few years ago it's an interesting experience to trace the footsteps of Frost & Co. The literature, akin to Waterloo and D-Day, is becoming dangerously oversaturated. Al Murray publishes Arnhem: Black Tuesday only next month! Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 09:50, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- I did this too. Started at the Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein' (which I believe has since been renovated) and walked to the John Frost Bridge in Arnhem, following 2 Para's route. The literature on Market Garden is oversaturated and more is expected for the 80th anniversary next month. We will be commemorating on Wikipedia by running Boy Browning as TFA on 17 September. - I don't think the building itself was open during my stay; only possible to walk the grounds. Might have to organise a return trip..! Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 21:41, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- I was there before 2008 renovation. The museum was open. It was very interesting and well worth the visit. Judging from our article, I should plan a re-visit. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 22:34, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
